Introducing, Turthe Time! Wait, no...wrong reference...

Introducing, my (second?) attempt at making the best of the Newgrounds Audio Portal! That's right folks, I'm oficially done with college, which means I now have tim to actually do things. For anybody who read or knew about my last attempt at this project in June of '08, then this is the rebirth of 'The Best Collections'. If you aren't familiar with it, as I know probably so few people are, then read my second post ever...not too many there...hard to miss.

In light of reintroducing this fine little project, I'd like to point out several comments I recieved last June:

Q: Isn't this illegal to do...like, stealing music kind of illegal?
A: No. I recieve permission to post ALL of the music I get from NG, PERSONALLY, from the authors themselves, with the explanation that it's not a profitable escapade. All the project is meant to do is spread the good word of the NGAP to people who may not be familiar with Newgrounds, and promote the authors of the music. Think of it as virtual mormonism.

Q: Are you just doing this to try and be cool or something? Or are you trying to make it seem like YOU made this music?
A: Hell no. If I wanted to be cool, I'd smoke crack. Seriously, I DO care about the music from NG, and the fabulous people who make it (I love you Metaljonus), so that we can listen to it, and put it into our flash movies, for free. I claim no superiority to the authors, and am only a producer of the CDs that I pass around my town (which I actually lose money doing, since it's, you know, free...). In short, I'm a trend-setter; not a wanna-be.

Q: Is all of this stuff online? how does that help people?
A: It's not. Actually, the downloads I got last time weren't even half the number of discs I made and passed along. I must have made, what, 40 discs last June? Something like that. It's face-to-face confrontation that gets people to listen to stuff, not a link that says go here. But, that does help...

And so on and so forth...anyways, the REAL reason I made this post: the first album that was up on 4shared was inactive, so I reactivated it, as well as uploaded another three albums to make up for my lack of activity! This month's little package is "The Best of- Classical, Volume 1", featuring many hits from a certain man whose user name rhymes with Osa...give up? It's Bosa : )

The other two files I uploaded are simply other means of music. By this I mean music from one of my favorite bands, "of Montreal". So if you're a fan, or you want to listen to see if you are one, look around for the zip file with 15 tracks of their superiority. The other zip file with music is a miscellaneous setlist with tunes for anybody. Soft music, head-bangin' music, dancing music, chillin music, it's all in there, it's all hand-picked by me, just like "The Best Collections", and it's free.

So, in light of all of this, I'd appreciate ANY feedback regarding this whole thing...again, the other two zips are just for funsies, they have nothing to do with NG, or my little escapade. So download, and go tell all the authors of the music how great they are.

Oh, and there's a backside for the albums as well, with all the song names and the artists who made them. Just thought I'd say : )

To my adoring fans (all five of them), I've concocted another creation for Newgrounds. I call it, "The Best Collections". What these are, are some of the top songs from the NGAP, by genre, that I feel deserve to be revisited, and mostly, praised. What I do is take these songs (about 14-19), and put them on a CD. Pretty simple really. I plan to make copies available to anybody who wants them, free of charge, and give them out to people who live near me to spread the dreaded Newgroundsneosis disease.

Keep in mind, the "top songs" apply only to MY opinion, I'm NOT selling or making profit from these CD's, and I've gotten permission from the authors to put their music on my CD's. If all goes well for this first one I've made, I'll make some more in the future for other genres and songs (with the exception of any variation of Hip Hop, Rap, and R&B, as I hate all of these...sorry). So look out Newgrounds, the Best are coming your way...

Two main things to keep in mind: I'm not going to mail a CD to you...so look on my profile for any links to the individual songs, or if I make a place where you can download a compressed version of all of the songs. Also, if this project becomes a BIG hit....maybe I WILL mail them out to people....but then I might require compensation funds to mail them, and money for the makers of the music...I've been getting some money requests from some of the authors already : )

Welcome to my NEW profile, one and all. For a few years now, I'd been stuck with the crappy username, Dosko21. Now, that the NG Admins have gotten rid of the unused profiles, with names that people have been wanting to use, I announce, that the one and only Dosko, has the one and only profile on NG with the name, Dosko. Hoorah.

Well, a first post is always necessary. Here's me, like it or not. One day I wish to be known among all for who I am, not who I pretend to be; Dosko. I am the real Dosko. All others are figments of your imagination.

Anyways, back to the point. Let's put out the main points of this message to the public. Newgrounds is in a hole, sort of. It could definately be better. What most people don't realize is that this site isn't like the crap on YouTube or MySpace. This site should be full of QUALITY Flash, and QUALITY people. This means nice people, not retards who say "Yeah, well F*** you n00b!" for every ill decented retaliation.

But, there are good things here. Blockhead, Tankmen, Pico, not to mention THE Tom Fulp, and everything else that makes Newgrounds, Newgrounds. I'm here for those things, and those things only.
